Before I begin, I just want to say; this wasn't my idea. Last night, Roger and I went to the pub and got really, really drunk. We had an unusual kind of bet. The person who loses against the other one in a game of Pool has to write a journal about the next case they are assigned. Then they have to get the journal published, and split any profit with the other guy, even if they don't help to get it published. Guess who lost the game? I, Jim Lincoln, the great detective, knocked the black ball in on my first shot after Roger broke the triangle.
So far, though, this case has been brilliant, and I’m not even at the crime
I opened my eyes as a familiar voice told me “wake up, it’s okay, it’s only a dream”. As my eyes adjusted to the light, I recognized Araumi standing over me, softly shaking my shoulder, light shining through her long, blonde hair. “Are you alright?” she asked, her eyes seeming curious.
I was about to answer her question, when a different question popped into my head, “How on earth did you get into my hut? I locked the door! And why did you come into my hut?”
